Plan the clean around the handover

For a San Diego commercial buildout or renovation, tell MEI Commercial which rooms are complete, where trades are still working and when the finished space must be ready. Cleaning a room before cutting, sanding or installation is complete can mean cleaning it again. The proposal identifies the phase and areas covered by each visit.

Rough, final and touch-up visits

Rough: assess accessible areas after construction debris has been removed and the work area is safe to enter.
Final: address fine dust, reachable surfaces, fixtures, agreed cabinetry, restrooms, glass and floor surfaces.
Touch-up: revisit agreed areas after punch-list work or other activity that reintroduces dust.

Protect the finished materials

Identify newly installed flooring, glass coatings, cabinetry and fixtures before work starts. MEI selects compatible cleaning methods and reviews visible pre-existing damage. Adhesive, paint, grout residue and protective films need separate assessment; aggressive scraping or treatment is not assumed to be part of a routine final clean.

Information needed for a proposal

Send the address, cleanable square footage, floor materials, expected completion date and any access-height requirements. Confirm working utilities, parking, debris responsibilities and which areas remain occupied. Photos or plans help prepare the walkthrough, but final scope depends on site conditions.

Post-construction work is a project quote based on cleanable area, condition, detail and equipment needs. The janitorial/day porter hourly range does not apply automatically to this service. Additional trade activity, another phase or newly added areas should be reviewed before extra work begins.
